Sandra is the founder of Little Sun Montessori Jakarta, driven by her lifelong passion for working with children. Her journey into Montessori education began in childhood, when she would role-play as a teacher with her dolls.

With a background in finance, she later discovered the Montessori method during her work experience in Jakarta, earning a diploma in Montessori education before pursuing further studies in the United Kingdom. She completed a Master’s in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Roehampton, focusing her dissertation on inclusive education in Indonesia.

Gaining hands-on experience at The Oak Montessori in London, she worked with diverse, multicultural children, applying her Montessori knowledge in practice. Sandra firmly believes in the Montessori approach, advocating for children to develop independence and self-direction under thoughtful supervision, ultimately shaping them into well-rounded individuals.

Meijke is a passionate and experienced kindergarten educator with 18 years of dedicated service in national plus educational programs. Specializing in teaching children aged 3-6 years, she brings a wealth of expertise in innovative educational approaches, including Montessori methods and specialized strategies for working with diverse learners. Fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Office, Meijke has completed extensive professional training in music education, school culture development, and supporting special needs children.

Her commitment to early childhood education is evident through her continuous professional growth and the Loyalty Award she received from Kinderfield, Jakarta. With a deep passion for nurturing young minds and creating engaging learning environments, Meijke continues to inspire and support children during their critical early learning years.
